I’ve been trying to get my MJ PLUS to work for the last week. Then I found your post. I think I followed your instructions, but when I finish, I get the Soft Pad with the following message: “Connect the device to the Internet, and double-click.” I know I’m connected to the internet. Any idea why this won’t work? Just to make sure I’m doing all this correctly, here are the steps I followed: 1. Downloaded magicJackSetup.dmg 2.
View all Mac apps. Popular Windows Apps. Your party started as you countdown to 2019 Turn old smartphones and tablets into security cameras using the 'Manything' app Free up space on your.
Ran the Update software 2. Downloaded firmware update: mjisoupdate.dmg 3.
Opened Terminal, and pasted: sudo spctl –master-disable 4 Ran the firmware update 5. Unplugged the device and plugged it in again. As I said the Soft Pad opened with the above message. I haven’t been able to make or receive calls for almost 2 weeks. Plus, I have found that smoke signals don’t work. Thanks for any assistance you may be able provide.
Skype offers a plan to call any number in the U.S., I purchase the plan for 3 months at a time for about $7-8 but if you pay month by month it's $3 a month. I don't get any phone number with it, so you'd have to check out the Skype website to see about that (they do offer a service for it). I only use it to place outgoing calls w/blocked Caller ID.
I think you can only sign up for this plan if you register from the U.S. But I bet they would offer other services for residents of other countries. Oh, and skype has an iOS app as well you can use to place calls. I use it with my ipad and mac and it works great.
